Doctors may recommend pre-liposuction diet supplements that contain high levels of antioxidants slightly before the surgical procedure. This may assist in helping the skin stay elastic and prevent some of the natural sag that will occur when the fat cells are removed. Antioxidants and the vitamins and minerals in the supplements will also help skin cells stay hydrate and healthy, which in turn will lead to shorter recovery times. Post liposuction treatment will include a continued healthy diet, use of supplements for weight control as well as exercise and physical fitness to maintain both weight and results.
